residential generator

Home power generators have increased in sales many times over since the Y2K scare. Both previous to and since Y2K, long and destructive power outages have demonstrated the need for home power generators. Keeping items like refrigerators, freezers, potable water pumps, sewage pumps, computers, fire, smoke, and burglar alarms, phone systems, and electrically operated medical devices powered shows the need for backup generators. Either the whole home, or selected loads can be powered; depending upon the wants and needs of the owners. Either propane, natural gas or diesel generators can be used depending upon the fuel that is most available.

Generators can power the whole house including lights and all appliances.

When choosing home power generators, the first thing to consider is what needs to be powered, the whole house or selected vital appliances. At this point, the amount of power and type of generator can be chosen accordingly.

Propane, Natural Gas or Diesel Powered Generators

Many homes currently use propane or natural gas to fuel stoves, hot water heaters, ovens and furnaces. These fuels can also power generators of varying capacities.  In the event that these fuels are not available diesel generators can be used.
